![]() Last week’s protest outside of Rep. Steny Hoyer’s Greenbelt office led off the AFL-CIO’s list of more than 100 events held last week during the Congressional Recess to build pressure against TPA. This week, the AFL-CIO challenged the USTR to declassify the TPP and prove whether it is progressive and will create good-paying jobs. As the House prepares to consider Trade Promotion Authority, AFL-CIO affiliated labor unions and progressive allies are continuing to demonstrate the widespread popular opposition to fast track. Yesterday, organizations held a “National Call in Day,” and a Stop Fast Track Canvass in Hoyer’s district is being planned for Saturday, June 13 (see calendar) Comments are closed.
