If you want to help get out the local labor vote but can’t make it out to a walk or phonebank, the AFL-CIO is bringing the phonebank to you this week. A massive virtual nationwide online phone bank launches today, with local call shifts on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 4–6 p.m, Thursday, Oct. 9, 6–8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 11, 1–3 p.m... “With our ‘Friends and Neighbors’ calling tool, it's easy to make calls from home to people you know and union supporters in your community who might stay home on Election Day without some extra motivation,” says AFL-CIO Field Director Karen Gasper. Click here if you can make calls at a different time. “We'll start each shift off with a quick training and then make calls for two hours (or as long as you're available). It's a fun and easy way to make a big difference this November,” says Gasper.
