Nan Thompson Ernst, First Vice President and Chief Steward of the Library of Congress Professional Guild, AFSCME Local 2910, has been appointed to the Federal Advisory Council on Occupational Safety and Health (FACOSH). She was nominated by her union, the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), and was appointed by Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez on October 5. FACOSH is a presidential advisory body to the Secretary of Labor on all matters relating to the occupational safety and health of federal employees.
