![]() Although the Nats wound up losing Friday night's game to the San Diego Padres, thousands of area union members and their families were the winners thanks to over $6500 raised for the Community Service Agency’s Emergency Assistance Fund at the annual Labor Night at the Nats. "We really appreciate all the great support," said CSA Executive Director Kathleen McKirchy. "This is such a wonderful way to have fun and do good at the same time." Metro Washington Council president Jackie Jeter (left) threw out the first pitch, NoVA Labor president Dan Duncan delivered the lineup card on behalf of Iron Workers Local's 5's Mark Coles, baritone Jim Shaffran of the American Guild of Musical Artists sang the National Anthem, the Fairfax County Fire Fighters and Paramedics, IAFF 2068, presented the colors and AFGE 3615's Erinn Taylor got the game started with the official play ball call.
