 Amalgamated Transit Union Local 689 will celebrate its 100th anniversary on January 23. Area labor activists and supporters are invited to join the festivities, which begin at 6:30p with a reception at the Gaylord Hotel on the Potomac, continuing with dinner, dancing and live entertainment from R&B band "Mint Condition."Tickets are $125 each and there's a special room rateavailable for those wishing to stay at the Gaylord.
