As thousands of federal workers are still dealing with missed and incomplete paychecks, and 800,000 more stare down another shutdown just days away, federal workers and their unions gathered in the Hart Senate Office Building yesterday at noon for a silent protest as the deadline to avoid another government shutdown approaches.
And on Tuesday, more than 1,000 union activists from across the country marched on Capitol Hill to call on Congress to save the temporary protected status (TPS) program and allow the workers who depend on it to continue to pursue their dreams in America.
