The Chesapeake Bay Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW) Chapter of Maryland just received their charter from National CLUW. “We are already an active chapter and have been working with other women’s organizations in our area,” reports Chapter President Brenda Savoy. The chapter has held forums for political candidates “so we can get an understanding of their positions on our issues,” and invites all union members in Prince George's, Charles, St. Mary's, Anne Arundel and Calvert counties to attend their next meeting, Wednesday, May 23, at Rip's Restaurant (3809 Crain HWY, Bowie, Md. 20716). “We always start with a meet and greet at 6, drinks and dinner optional, and the meeting starts at 6:30 pm,” says Savoy.
