Calling it “an outrageous attempt to divide us,” CWA last week slammed AT&T’s latest contract proposal. “‘No Jobs, No Deal’ isn’t just a slogan,” said CWA District 2-13. “It is a commitment that we have made to one another to… fight against AT&T’s relentless outsourcing of our jobs in pursuit of profit.” The union says AT&T violated the National Labor Relations Act by misleading members and “failing to bargain in good faith.” In other CWA news, the union has opened up contract negotiations with CenturyLink in Martinsville, VA (left). CWA reported earlier this month that the company is planning to cut jobs across the country, despite receiving $1.1 billion from the Trump tax cut last year.
