The DC Committee on Political Education (COPE) will be recommending endorsement of Elissa Silverman as At-Large DC Councilmember, after interviewing all four candidates Tuesday morning. “Elissa’s commitment to DC’s working men and women was clear and of course she’s already established a track record as a strong and reliable advocate for labor at the Council,” said Metro Washington Council Political Director David Dzidzienyo. The recommendation will be made at Monday’s Metro Council Executive Board meeting and then voted on by delegates Monday night.
