DC LaborFest Today: 'No God, No Master,' 'Quest'

5/15/2017

Picture
"No gods, no masters" is an anarchist and labor slogan. Its English origin comes from a pamphlet handed out by the Industrial Workers of the World during the 1912 Lawrence Textile Strike. Our film tonight at AFI is a re-telling of the story of anarchists Sacco and Vanzetti, and explores the disintegration of civil liberties during times of social unrest. See below for details, plus we have a free screening of "Quest" at the New Deal Cafe."
