DC UNITED UNION NIGHT

D.C. United vs. NY Red Bulls
Tickets: $20 per seat (portion goes to CASA); Groups of 25 will have tailgate tent, table, and space provided by D.C. United.

Join us as D.C. United takes on the NY Red Bulls in the Atlantic Cup, the biggest and oldest rivalry in Major League Soccer! D.C. United will recognize labor unions throughout the DMV area at this game, which features discounted tickets for all unions, union members, and their guests for the match.

Everyone has a story to tell and in this groundbreaking program, DC workers discover and give voice to their stories with award-winning writer Mark Nowak, director of the Worker Writers School in New York City. For more than a decade, Nowak has been running creative writing workshops with workers centers and trade unions, helping workers put their stories to paper. Nowak’s recent books including Shut Up Shut Down and Coal Mountain Elementary, a book historian Howard Zinn called “a stunning educational tool.” Over the past dozen years he has facilitated writers’ workshops with workers centers and trade unions across the US, Europe, Latin American, and South Africa.
