 After four years of tireless advocacy, earned sick days legislation is headed to the floor of the Maryland House of Delegates. The bill was voted out of the Economic Matters Committee late yesterday and is expected to be debated on the House floor this morning (though a vote may not come until Monday). As momentum continued to build, advocates – including NNU, SEIU 32BJ, UFCW, and other unions and allies -- turned their attention to the Maryland State Senate, urging supporters to “take a quick moment to call the office of Senate President Miller.” Click here for details, including phone number and a sample script.
