On Thursday, July 30th, for the 3rd time in as many weeks, the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 99 held a large demonstration in front of the CIA's George H. W. Bush Center for Intelligence. Local 99 has been involved in prolonged negotiations with their largest signatory, AECOM, at the site and has numerous pending Unfair Labor Practice charges against the company. Local 99 has already taken a strike vote and the Executive Board is authorized to call a strike at any time. The next picket is scheduled for next Thursday, August 13th beginning at 2:30pm. "Local 99 would like this to be the largest picket to date and are requesting allies and supporters to meet at Langley Fork Park in McLean, VA," said Local 99 Lead Organizer Eamon Clifford.
