​Fairfax Connector transit workers get agreement; ratification vote set for Saturday

ATU Local 1764 has reached a tentative agreement with MV Transportation, potentially avoiding a strike by Fairfax Connector transit workers threatened for Monday, if the agreement is accepted by union members. “We will be recommending ratification to our members, who will decide in a vote on Saturday whether to accept or reject the terms of the agreement,” said Local 1764 Trustee Sesil Rubain. The agreement was reached “After a lengthy and frustrating year of discussion with MV and Fairfax County—including a marathon 20 hours of bargaining with the company last night,” said Rubain.
