![]() Last year, as contract negotiations at AT&T Mobility dragged on and a strike loomed, CWA 2336 steward Mark Davis stepped up his outreach to members to make sure they were up to date and ready to hit the streets if necessary. The solidarity Davis helped build in local AT&T stores boosted participation in the 3-day strike that enabled the union to win a contract. But a few months later, Davis was fired. The union fought back and in December Davis won his job back. “I come from a union family,” Davis said yesterday on WPFW’s Your Rights At Work, “my father was the president of his union back in Alabama,” and the victory was a reminder that “you (members) are the union.” - photo courtesy CWA District 2-13 Twitter Comments are closed.
