Fred Allen Honored by DC City Council

Longtime DC labor activist and leader Fred Allen was honored by the DC City Council Tuesday with a ceremonial resolution for his service to the District of Columbia. Many union members, colleagues and allies turned out to demonstrate their support for Allen, who was praised by Councilmember Anita Bonds for working “tirelessly to bring about change that would improve the quality of work and life for all government printing office employees.” Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie thanked Allen “for all you have done for the District of Columbia.”
