![]() DC's labor laws have changed significantly in recent years. The minimum wage is now $10.50, part-time and tipped workers newly have the right to paid sick days and most employers can't ask about criminal records on applications and in interviews. In order to keep everyone up to date, the Employment Justice Center has launched an updated "Know Your Rights" training program. These free presentations -- there are three 45-minute modules to choose from -- are conducted in partnership with licensed employment attorneys, geared towards informing DC employees and residents about their rights in the workplace.
