![]() Immigrant workers’ rights, contract and union protection and building community power top the agenda at this Friday’s “Protecting Immigrant Members Training.” There’s still limited space available at the free training – sign up here -- designed especially for local union leaders, staff, and shop stewards. “Know your rights” cards, posters, and contract language will be available at the session, which runs from 9a to 2p (lunch is included). Deadline to RSVP is this Wednesday, March 8. The training will end with a political panel which will include community leaders as well as local elected officials like Montgomery County Council member Nancy Navarro. “We look forward to sharing ideas and strengthening our community!” says Carlos Jimenez, Executive Director of the Metro Washington Council.
