![]() With $250 raised so far, Metro Washington Council Union Cities Mobilizer Chris Garlock is a quarter of the way to the goal of raising $1,000 for the MWC Community Services Agency's Emergency Assistance Fund, which assists hundreds of DC-area families annually with emergency financial needs. Garlock and his wife Lisa are walking 200 miles in Wales later this month to celebrate their 32nd wedding anniversary and are also raising money for CSA. Donate what you can: .25/mile = $50; .50/mi = $100; $1/mi = $200; or whatever amount you like, "it will go to help prevent utility cut-offs and evictions, provide needed prescriptions, transportation so members can keep working, food, child care and other needs," says CSA Executive Director Kathleen McKirchy.
