![]() With the election just over a month away, more than 100 volunteers from dozens of international unions knocked on doors and made phone calls Saturday in Northern Virginia. AFL-CIO Executive Vice President Tefere Gebre was joined by AFGE President J. David Cox and AFA-CWA President Sara Nelson to rally all to get out the vote for the Clinton-Kaine ticket and vote "NO ON 1!" against the amendment to place Right to Work in the Virginia constitution. "We had an electrified group this morning in Annandale, Manassas and Winchester," said NoVA Labor president Dan Duncan. "Despite what some pundits are implying, we know this election isn't over and more work is needed." Phonebanks at NoVA and at the AFL-CIO continue this week, including a new Wednesday night session 5-8p with Constituency Groups (see Calendar); click here for details. Comments are closed.
