![]() In 1892,Washington, D.C. was comprised of dirt roads, cow pastures, and only a few of the monuments that stand today. By 1894, just two years after IBEW Local 26 was chartered, its members had illuminated the U. S. Capitol building for the first time in history. Local 26 is still going strong and will celebrate its 125th anniversary September 23 at the new MGM National Harbor. “We hope to excite our membership and prepare our local for the next 125 years,” said Business Manager George Hogan.
