![]() Jim Baldridge, a mechanic and local labor leader, passed away at his home on December 20th. Jim was a member of the Union of Shipbuilding and Marine Workers of America, organizing workers first at the Beth Steel Shipyard and then at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was also active in anti-war movements as a Navy veteran and member of Veterans for Peace. His most recent activism was as President of the Maryland-DC Alliance for Retired Americans, where he helped lead the fight against cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.
