Rolene McKnight, former receptionist/secretary for the Metro Washington Council, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 10, of a heart attack. She was 54, and had been caring for her grandchildren. “Rolene was well-loved by everyone who had the good fortune to meet her,” said Metro Council president Jos Williams. “She always brought a smile to your face. The world is a smaller place without her in it.” Funeral arrangements are being made; contributions towards defraying those expenses are welcomed by Rolene’s family, and can be made by sending a check – payable to the Community Services Agency – to the Council at 888 16th Street NW, Suite 520, Washington DC 20006 or donate through the Community Services Agency; both are tax-deductible and in either case be sure to note that it’s for the Rolene McKnight Funeral Fund.
