Metro Washington Council president emeritus Jos Williams was inducted into the DC Hall of Fame Sunday night along with 10 other notable D.C. residents including former D.C. City council member Carol Schwartz and Downtown Cluster Of Congregations Executive Director Terry Lynch. Over 400 were in attendance, former mayor and D.C. Hall of Fame board member Sharon Pratt emceed and DC Mayor Bowser and Attorney General Karl Racine were also part of the program. Former Attorney General Eric Holder was also in attendance, as his wife was also being inducted. Williams was recognized for his longtime commitment to civic and community development, as well as fair wages, safe working conditions, access to affordable health care and secure retirement.
