![]() Staff at the Center for Community Change (CCC) unanimously voted to ratify their first contract on Monday. CCC staff won union recognition in September 2016 with IFPTE Local 70, joining the growing trend of progressive non-profit organizations to unionize. "The staff's unanimous vote to ratify this contract sends a clear signal to management that we are standing in solidarity today and every day," said Jasmine Nazarett, Bargaining Team representative at CCC staff union. "This is a big win for us - one that will make CCC an even better place to work." The contract boosts staff salaries, establishes just cause protection, and other major work place improvements. “We are thrilled that CCC staff have joined the ranks of non-profit workers with strong union contracts,” said Alan Barber, president of IFPTE Local 70. “Progressive non-profits truly benefit when staff have a voice in the workplace and can share in the work to build an effective organization.” Comments are closed.
