Activists from around the region and across the country with learn about the labor movement’s art and culture at the Labor Heritage Foundation’s Great Labor Arts Exchange, from June 23-26, at the Tommy Douglas Conference Center in Silver Spring. Under the theme of “Power to the People,” workshops like “Using Drama in Labor Education” and “Songwriting for Social Change” will show how to use art as an effective campaign tool. Attendees will not just learn how to use the arts effectively, but also experience artists engaging with labor through music, film, and poetry.
