![]() Boosted by a $10,000 contribution from UNITE HERE Local 25, as well as $2000 in donations from caring individuals and two carloads of food donated so far, the Community Services Agency has been able to help some individual Verizon strikers with urgent financial situations. “As the strike continues, we will see more and more folks needing help to stay on the line,” said CSA Executive Director Kathleen McKirchy. “Some locals have donated directly to CWA for their strike fund and it all works, as the need is great. Thank you to Local 25 and everyone for their generosity!” To contribute to the Community Services Agency’s Emergency Assistance Fund, make a check payable to CSA and mail to 888 16th Street NW, Suite 520, DC 20006, or click here to donate online.
