 On this Labor Day weekend’s labor calendar, there are a number of Labor Day events, beginning with a Labor on the Bimah service tonight, ATU Local 689/IBT Local 922’s Transit Day tomorrow, NoVA Labor’s Annual Labor Day Picnic Sunday afternoon, WAMU’s Big Broadcast Labor Day Special Sunday night, and parades in Gaithersburg and Greenbelt on Monday as well as a Labor Day Mass. Also on Monday, Bill Fletcher and Chris Garlock (right) will host a 3-hour Labor Day special, "Labor's struggles, Labor's rebirth," starting at 9a on WPFW 89.3FM, with updates from the front lines of working people’s struggles across the country, plus lots of terrific music.
