![]() Tens of thousands of people will march to President Trump's doorstep today, in the largest protest by immigrants and workers since Trump took office. “Families in our community are being destroyed, American-born children are being separated from their parents," said SEIU 32BJ Vice President -- and Metro Washington Council Executive Board member -- Jaime Contreras. “We refuse to stand aside and do nothing.” A wide-ranging loosely-knit coalition of organizations and unions is mobilizing and there are a number of meeting spots from which marches will commence. The DC On Strike Rally and March will gather in Lamont Park starting at noon, the May Day March With the International Working Class meets in Malcolm X Park, also beginning at noon, and May Day Action meets at Dupont Circle starting at 2p (leaving at 3p). All the actions converge on Lafayette Park at 4p. Details on our calendar. Comments are closed.
