![]() The Montgomery County Renters Alliance will hold its Third Annual Building Community Celebration on Thursday, December 7 from 6-9p.m. at Denizens Brewery in Silver Spring. The Renters Alliance is the only regional nonprofit dedicated exclusively to renter outreach, education, organizing and advocacy. "More than 36% of Maryland residents live in rental housing--and that number is growing," said Gino Renne, president of MCGEO/UFCW 1994 which represents more than 8,000 public employees. "The number one annual expense of all working people is their housing. We can negotiate for fair wages and benefits, but if we cannot influence housing quality and affordability, our workers can lose their homes. That's why we support the Renters Alliance's work and urge our Labor community to do the same." Click HERE for more info and to RSVP. Comments are closed.
