NABET 31’s Moe Thomas recognized for 4 decades on the job

NABET-CWA Local 31’s Maurice “Moe” Thomas was among those honored at the Disney Service Awards dinner in New York City last Friday. Thomas, a broadcast engineer, has logged 40 years at ABC News’ DC Bureau, and has been an active union member and leader for much of that time,  serving as an officer at NABET-CWA Local 31 and NABET Regional Vice President. “Moe has been a driving force at Local 31 and in the union movement overall,” said NABET 31 president Rich McDermott. “He can always be seen at CWA marches and rallies demanding justice for working people.” Thomas was also honored at an event at the ABC-7 studios in DC last Thursday. photo: Moe Thomas and his wife Margaret with Mickey Mouse at Friday's awards dinner.
