NABET Charges Sinclair Over Changes

Despite commitments to honor the previous contract with former WJLA owner Allbritton Communications, Sinclair Broadcasting has been making changes to the benefit programs and terms of employment, NABET 31 reports. The union has filed an Unfair Labor Practice charge, as well as a grievance over these changes. Local 31 has also begun the Bargaining Committee election process to determine who will represent the unit in upcoming contract negotiations. The current contract expires on August 23.
