![]() Turns out that Double Stuf Oreos don’t actually have double the crème, but that’s not the cookie’s only scandal. Nabisco parent company Mondelēz International last year shipped more than 600 good jobs making popular snacks like Oreos to Salinas, Mexico. Since then, those working people have been fighting for their jobs and their struggle comes to DC today at 3:30p (see Calendar at right). “Working people all over the country are showing up at big box stores in their area in a Nabisco boycott today to send Mondelēz a loud and clear message that we will not support any business model that seeks to move good jobs beyond our borders,” says Eddie Acosta, National Campaign Coordinator at the AFL-CIO. “We’re asking folks to check the label, and don’t buy Nabisco products that are made in Mexico.” Comments are closed.
