![]() Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe (right) will rally labor volunteers this Saturday before they hit the doors to turn out the union vote in next Tuesday’s elections. As usual, “We’ll have coffee, juice, doughnuts and bagels before you leave,” says NoVA president Dan Duncan. “As has been our custom for the last Saturday before an election, we’ll have the grill going outside when you return.” Activity takes place daily starting at 9a this week from the NoVA Labor office with labor-to-labor precinct walks and phone calls; call Dolores Trevino-Gerber at703-750-3633 for details or just show up. “Riding on the outcome will be whether the General Assembly changes from its narrow anti- worker majority to one more likely to pass legislation that benefits the commonwealth’s working families—especially an urgently-needed rise in the minimum wage,” notes UFCW Local 400. photo: McAuliffe and Trevino-Gerber at VA AFL-CIO legislative conference earlier this year; photo by Dan Duncan Comments are closed.
