![]() An all-day orientation foryoung people interning in the labor movement in DC for the summer is being planned for June 3. International unions, constituency groups, social and economic justice organizations and other workers’ rights groups interested in participating can find out more here. "This is a great opportunity for labor interns to connect and learn with each other about our movement and the District," says Marilyn Sneiderman, Director of the Center for Innovation in Worker Organization at Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR), which is organizing the orientation, along with the Kalmanovitz Initiative (KI) for Labor and the Working Poor at Georgetown University, the Metro Washington Council, and the AFL-CIO. Participants will also meet and network with other interns and hear about summer actions, labor-related programs, local campaigns and job opportunities. photo: 2015 summer labor interns Comments are closed.
