![]() “The time for change in America is now,” says AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka. “But,” he adds, “that change can’t happen unless we make it happen—unless we vote today for the America we deserve.” “Working people have been winning at the ballot box across the country,” Trumka reminds us. In the past year alone, he notes, we beat an anti-worker bigot in Alabama, elected a pro-union veteran to Congress in Pennsylvania, and in Missouri, with more than two-thirds of the vote, sent “right to work” “into the trash heap of history.” Workers have been winning here in the DMV too, from increasing the minimum wage to paid family leave and so much more. “Let’s finish strong,” Trumka urges. “Let’s do the work so we can look back on the moment and know we did everything we could to change this country for the better.” Click here to find out who the best candidates for working people are.
