Reverend William Barber – fresh off his arrest yesterday at the Poor People’s Campaign (PPC) Capitol Hill action against income inequality – came to Arlington Tuesday to support striking Didlake workers. “He sang, prayed and marched with them, pledging to always be with them in their struggle to have a union,” said NoVA Labor president Virginia Diamond. The workers have voted to join LIUNA, but the company is refusing to bargain, arguing that the workers have no right to a union since they have disabilities.
