Providence Hospital RN’s Strike Still On For Wednesday

Registered nurses at Providence Hospital in the District of Columbia, will hold a one-day strike on Wednesday, November 12 to protest the hospital’s refusal to address critical issues of health and safety concerns for patients and nurses, including unsafe staffing, inadequate Ebola preparedness, and high staff turnover. The walkout is part of a national day of action by National Nurses United in 14 states as well as the District of Columbia that will highlight their demand that all hospitals institute stronger Ebola safety measures. The nurses will rally at 12 noon Wednesday outside the hospital at 1150 Varnum Street NE.
