Rally Today for Assaulted Bestway Worker

UFCW Local 400 is organizing a rally this afternoon for Jose Angel Diaz, a worker at the Mt Vernon Bestway Supermarket who was physically assaulted by a store manager last week. After being hospitalized, Diaz is now recovering, but “The assault of any person is unacceptable behavior,” says UFCW 400’s Karina Rosado. Local 400 “is asking folks to show support and solidarity by standing with Mr. Diaz this Friday as we rally for justice and respect for all workers.”
