Over 1,000 union members, community leaders and politicians will gather on Saturday, March 2 to celebrate metro-area labor solidarity and recognize those who have gone above and beyond. “Please show your appreciation and solidarity by placing an ad in the Evening with Labor program book and purchasing tickets for the dinner,” says Doris Reed, chair of the Metro Washington Council AFL-CIO’s Evening With Labor Committee. This year’s dinner – the 42nd annual – will be held at Martin’s Crosswinds in Greenbelt, “so there’s plenty of free parking!” Reed added.
