![]() Scott Reynolds, who recently retired from the AFL-CIO, passed away November 2. "Scott was one of the first people I hired when we set up the Department of Field Mobilization at the AFL-CIO," wrote Marilyn Schneiderman on Scott's Facebook page. "He was my partner when we sought to shift from 'servicing' affiliates to dreaming big about what was possible in state and local movements. We set up 'Union Cities' with an extraordinary group of activists leaders around the country to strategize about building transformational community/labor power, diversifying our leadership and activists core, building authentic organizing and political power for the long run......Scott poured his heart and soul into everything he did." "Scott will be remembered for his strong trade unionism, dedicating his career to the labor movement and spending twenty-four of those years with the AFL-CIO," said the AFL-CIO. "Scott made our movement, our country and all of us better." Comments are closed.
