![]() Reverend Dr. Kendrick E. Curry of Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church will take home one of this year’s “I’ll Be There” Awards at the annual fundraiser hosted by DC Jobs With Justice on October 15. “From standing with our communities calling for living wage jobs at Walmart to now leading our Workers’ Rights Board, Rev. Curry has long been a champion of economic justice,” said Nikki Lewis of DC Jobs With Justice. “We’re thrilled to be able to give him this award – it’s the least we can do to honor his leadership.” Curry has served as the Chair of the Mayor’s Interfaith Council and as a mayoral appointee to the Project Labor Agreement Task Force for the Washington Nationals stadium. He’s also a member of Faith Strategies.
