In Eswatini, where union workers are routinely harassed, attacked and even killed for going on strike or holding rallies, union leader Sticks Nkambule was forced to flee the southern African country after leading transport workers on a strike. On the latest Solidarity Center Podcast, Nkambule describes the interconnected struggle for worker rights, human rights and democracy. “We led several job stay-aways and the response by the regime has been to unleash its army and firing live bullets and the streets painted red with blood.
