 Surveys Show Challenges of Workers with Disabilities.
Sana Sabheni, confined to her wheelchair and unable to leave her apartment in Tunisia for months because it lacks an elevator, has few options to secure a good job or engage in everyday life. Sabheni is among 1,601 participants in recent Solidarity Center surveys of workers with disabilities in Morocco and Tunisia. The surveys are the first of their kind to examine how workers with disabilities and unions can address discrimination and lack of accessibility for workers in North Africa.
