![]() CWA has launched a solidarity fund for Frontier Communications workers striking in Virginia and West Virginia. "The strike is not about money, it’s about job security,” CWA Local 2222 President Jeremy French told Union City. “We’ve been bargaining for 10 months, and Frontier wouldn’t budge.” The workers walked out last week over Frontier’s use of contractors and failure to bargain a new agreement with its 1400 employees. The union says that, since Frontier took over Verizon’s West Virginia lines in 2010, hundreds of jobs have been cut and customer complaints have skyrocketed.
