On Saturday Governor Wes Moore, Baltimore's Mayor Brandon Scott, AFSCME's National President Lee Saunders and AFSCME Maryland Council 3's President Patrick Moran joined a #StaffTheFrontLines hiring event in Baltimore to highlight the thousands of good union jobs available in Maryland. Today in particular, on September 11, we honor public sector workers like the members of AFSCME. “When the unthinkable happened, AFSCME members did what AFSCME members do," Saunders said in 2019. "They raced to the front lines, they put their communities first, they were at their best when things were at their worst."
