![]() Employees of the City of Takoma Park, represented by AFSCME Local 3399, have reached an impasse in contract negotiations. Members of the bargaining unit have been out letting folks know about the impasse at the Sunday Takoma Park Farmer’s Market, as well as last week’s Bread and Roses event at the Takoma Busboys. Despite Takoma Park’s progressive reputation, the workers say that they and their union have been treated with “pervasive disrespect” by the city. The workers plan to continue their outreach and urge concerned TP residents to sign their petition to let the city’s leadership know “this is no way to treat workers.” photo: AFSCME 3399's Sean Hendley (r) at the Takoma Park Farmer's Market yesterday; photo by Chris Garlock Comments are closed.
