 Congress has reached an “agreement in principle” to avoid yet another government shutdown. “But we’re not out of the woods yet,” warns the AFL-CIO. “We need to put pressure on Congress and the White House to keep the government open and federal workers and contractors on the job.” The ultimate goal remains the same: Keep working people on the job, and stop using people who work in public service as pawns in political games.
