Nurses Fight for Patient Care
Tue, May 14, 9:30am – 12:00pm
DC City Council, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Room 500
Vote on Budget Relating to East End Hospital Equity Act of 2018: The DC Council is poised to cut millions of dollars from the United Medical Center budget on Tuesday, May 14th. If the measure passes, nurses will most assuredly face layoffs and the hospital will have to cut patient care services. The DC Council will also vote on whether to close UMC in a little over two years from now. This disaster does not have to happen. Please come to the DC Council on Tuesday at 9:30am to let them know the cuts are not acceptable. - Ed Smith, DCNA
