When we think of library workers, we think of books. But library workers are also incredible guides to public art in our communities. In this video, Washington, D.C. library education specialist Toni White-Richardson -- president of AFSCME 1808 -- takes AFSCME Secretary-Treasurer Elissa McBride on a tour of some incredible murals depicting African-Americans who played key roles in our nation’s history. "I loved spending the day with Toni," says McBride. "Learning history, seeing some awesome art, honoring Black History Month, and appreciating the role of AFSCME library workers." - from AFSCME Council 20's Facebook page Comments are closed.
